Getting your gut health sorted out is essential. The gut is the second brain of the body and where much of the immune response is driven from and having a fabulous array of helpful gut bacteria really is key to getting your health on track. It’s a clever thing the gut, as well as super sensitive to your emotional health so its often the first place that people notice the body being out of whack.

If your gut health is suffering from long term medication, restrictive dieting, daily alcohol, chronic stress, allergies or intolerances that are not yet diagnosed etc, this is a first port of call to check into. The state of your bowel movements will be an indicator in all of this but if you are wanting to check your gut health, there are many gut biome test kits that are out there, some VERY expensive – others less so. Cutting out ultra processed foods and eating a wide variety of fruits, legumes and veggies a week is essential – alongside cutting down on the quantity of meat for most people can really help. It’s basic stuff but sometimes we don’t really keep an eye on how many cookies and crips, bacon sandwiches, alcohol and pizzas that we consume in a month all the while thinking that we are eating super healthily because you had a big salad for lunch.

If you want to heal a body that is unwell, give it your best shot to reduce sugar , stimulants, alcohol and foods with lots of nonsense in. Taking a good pro biotic as well as a pre biotic (plus loads of natural fibre) will also be incredibly helpful. Many people find great benefit in seeking help from a nutritionist as there may be specific things your body needs help with that you can’t diagnose by yourself.
