A seven week small group programme taking you on a journey to a

happier healthier you.

People often come to The Fern Programme when they hit a brick wall with traditional, medical routes. You will have been tested by medical professionals and then possibly left to figure it all out on your own.

Ideally, you would have participated in our Rest Repair Recover programme, learning about the role of the nervous system in your health and starting to enjoy actively taking care of yourself.

We work with the three pillars of wellbeing

Mind

In our experience, the body can’t repair until the mind gives the signal that ‘it’s safe to recover’. This signal can get a little lost if you are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious or depressed.

Body

We work with your physical body, finding the absolute baseline for you to begin working to re-introduce movement, help you to breathe better and ease yourself into life in a way that does not trigger a stress response.

Soul

The goal of the programme is to help you re-engage with joy, connection, fun and gratitude. Our soul needs these experiences to help us start an upwards spiral of health.

What’s involved?

Introduction

It all starts with an initial group conversation.
We want to hear your story, understand the whole picture and find out where you are on your journey. 

Explore

As a group, we look into what you might be doing that could be keeping you stuck and into switching your focus to re-engaging with joy.

Action

From there, we will devise the right stepping stones to help support you on your way. It’s not an exercise programme, so the physical sessions are all very gentle and suitable for any level.

What makes The Fern Programme different?

We think the most important aspect of our programme is that it’s live taught. Connecting with a group of people who fully understand the challenges you may have been facing alone can be transformational. Our groups learn to support each other, become cheerleaders for any tiny wins and inspire each other to trust the process.

Both programmes are structured the same, split across 21 sessions, all of which are recorded and sent back to you to watch if you need to. The recordings are generally available for 21 days after each session.

Fern programme FAQS

What’s the difference between The Fern Programme and RRR?

The RRR programme is a huge timetable of classes offered to our community, Mon – Fri, week in week out. The group size can be large or small depending on which class and the sessions are geared towards helping you work on your nervous system as part of a larger community. The Ferm programme is a small group programme with around 16 people, that also offer coaching. It lasts for 7 weeks and is more of a journey that you take with others.

Do I have to have done the RRR programme before Fern?

We like people to have done the RRR but it’s not essential. Doing the RRR programme gives you a sense of the structure discipline of attending classes that you might need to adopt to get the most out of the Fern. You will also have met many of the team and have a sense of connection to us all which will help you trust the process more. However, it’s not always possible for you to do this so we do sometimes take people in without the RRR experience.

Am I too ill for the Fern Programme?

If the idea of joining Zoom sessions, even if from bed, feels too daunting, then wait. Join RRR and get yourself used to tolerating screens. We do have people join us from their beds often, but they can all manage a Zoom screen pretty well. It’s OK to skip a session on a very bad week – they are all recorded and sent out straight away.

Do I have to attend all sessions?

Ideally you attend ALL sessions with Suzy live. If you need to miss a few of the other sessions then it’s OK as the sessions are recorded and sent out straight away.

Can I get refund if I find I can't manage once we have started?

Once the course has started, no refunds are available but we can defer your place for when you are ready.
